They specialize in big shared stir-fry dishes. A large includes two meats (which you choose) and four (set) vegetables. You can also add additional vegetables; although they are called “side dishes” on the menu, they are served mixed into the stir fry. The food was very good.
A sign in Chinese offers 10% off if you give them a 5-star review. We did not take them up on this, but it may be part of the reason they are “top rated”.

It was my first time trying this kind of authentic Chinese food. So much flavors going on and didn’t disappoint. It’s located in a Chinese shopping plaza on the lower floor with plenty of parking. The servers were nice and helpful and the food will fill you up in no time. I loved the spicy grilled fish for sure and the Pumpking pancakes were not sweet at all and super chewy just how I like it. Cravings satisfied!

I had an amazing experience at Tasty Dining! I came in around 9 PM and the staff were still incredibly warm and welcoming. Their mala dry pot was absolutely delicious — full of flavor, fresh ingredients, and cooked perfectly.
Highly recommend this place if you’re craving authentic, tasty, and satisfying mala dishes. I’ll definitely be coming back!

We ordered spicy lamp pot (香锅羊肉) and Wuhan hot dry noodles (武汉热干面). Food is delicious and very authentic. This restaurant is famous for the hot pot, it taste absolutely amazing. Beyond that, I’ve been missing transitional Wuhan hot dry noodles but US has very limited supply. I was very surprised with how good the hot dry noodles. We finished all food and these feeds two persons well. The service was super great, the host is very kind. Parking is free and easy in this plaza, will definitely come back!

Found a solid lunch spot when I was craving dry hot pot in LA. I always thought malatang or dry pot would easily be $30+ per person, but their lunch small dry pot is only $16.69. It comes with one choice of meat and four sides, including potatoes, cauliflower, celery, and bean sprouts, so it was actually very filling for one person.
I got the mild spicy level, and it was already flavorful with a nice numbing kick. The restaurant itself is not fancy, but the food is consistent and satisfying. Definitely a great lunch option if you work nearby or just want a good spicy meal.

Having been in Los Angeles for over 13 years, whenever I crave dry pot, Tasty Dining immediately comes to mind.
I’ve tried many spots, but this one is consistently good — always fresh, high-quality ingredients and generous portions.
💰 Dry Pot Pricing
• $38 Large — serves 3–4 people
• $27 Medium — serves 2–3 people
Choose from lamb, beef, chicken, organ meats, vegetables, and mushrooms — customize it exactly the way you like.
It was also my first time trying their viral spicy grilled fish 🔥
Different spice levels available, and the portion is just as big as their dry pot.

Tasty Dining on Valley Blvd in San Gabriel offers a unique menu featuring Sichuan- and Wuhan-style dry pot dishes that come standard with potato, cauliflower, celery, and soybean sprouts. You choose your protein, flavor, and spice level.
I highly recommend the grilled whole fish--incredibly aromatic, packed with bold flavor, and perfect for sharing between two people. The kimchi spam fried rice on the side absolutely hits and is a must-order.
The interior is a total vibe with cool decor and artwork, and the staff is friendly and helpful throughout the experience. Overall, a standout spot for flavorful, satisfying Chinese cuisine. Highly recommend.

This spicy mala hot pot is absolutely delicious and tastes super authentic. The numbing and spicy flavors are perfectly balanced, not too overwhelming but full of aroma. They have a great variety of fresh ingredients—meats, seafood, vegetables, and tofu all taste fresh and are stir-fried to perfection, absorbing all the savory sauce really well. Portions are generous, the restaurant is clean and cozy, and the service is friendly and efficient. It’s quickly become one of my favorite spots to eat, whether I’m grabbing a meal alone or coming with friends. I’ve already recommended it to people around me and will definitely be coming back again and again.

🥢 Garlic Flavor Pot | Chicken Wings + Squid (Non-Spicy)
This one was the garlic flavor, completely non-spicy but incredibly aromatic. The chicken wings were well braised, tender with a slight bounce in texture. The squid was fresh and flavorful. Napa cabbage, broccoli, wood ear mushrooms, and Chinese sausage were all coated in rich garlic sauce. The flavor was deep but not greasy at all. Even without any spice, it was super satisfying and perfect with rice — the more you eat, the more you want.

🌶️ Spicy Pot | Chicken Soft Bone (Mild Spicy)
This one was the spicy version, ordered mild. The flavor was anything but plain. The chicken soft bones had a great crunchy-chewy texture, and the spicy sauce was evenly coated and very well absorbed. The heat builds gradually, with a fragrant kick rather than an overwhelming burn. It’s the kind of spicy that keeps you going back for more. Absolutely addictive with rice.
